Agriculture is a 7.56 billion dollar industry in Mississippi, accounting for nearly 25% of all jobs in the state. Approximately 10.7 million acres of land are farmed in the magnolia state on 36,200 farms. The top five agricultural enterprises for the state include: poultry and eggs; forestry; soybeans; cotton; and corn.
